Once stopped, put the vehicle in "Park" (for automatic transmissions) or in first gear (for manual transmissions). Engage the handbrake. If you have a warning triangle, place it at a sufficient distance behind your vehicle to warn other drivers.

Take the jack, spare tire, and lug wrench out of your trunk. If you don't feel comfortable or don't have the necessary equipment, call for roadside assistance.

Remove the lug nuts and take off the flat tire. Place the spare tire on the bolts and hand-tighten the lug nuts. Lower the vehicle with the jack and firmly tighten the lug nuts in a crisscross pattern to ensure a secure fit.

Once the spare tire is installed, store all tools and the flat tire in the trunk. Make sure everything is in order before driving away.
Drive carefully and visit a professional as soon as possible to repair the flat tire or buy a new spare tire, if necessary. If you are renting with Europcar Martinique and have a problem with the car, feel free to contact our assistance service for help.
