At Europcar Martinique, drivers under 26 years old can also take the road safely — even without years of driving experience. In some cases, the Young Driver Protection is mandatory. It allows you to benefit from an adapted insurance coverage and enjoy your car rental with complete peace of mind, regardless of your driving experience.

💡For all vehicle rentals, you must present your driver's license (either physical or digital, showing the number of points). Please make sure you have these documents with you before arriving at the agency.

Depending on the vehicle category, certain license age requirements apply. Please refer to the "Rental requirements by vehicle type" page for full details before booking.

How is the young driver option added to your booking?

You can leave with peace of mind. If you are under 26 years of age, Young Driver coverage is automatically applied to your policy.

💡 If you don’t add it online, our team will ensure it’s included before your departure from the agency. In this case, the amount will be charged directly to the credit card left as a deposit.

Rental conditions by vehicle type

Below are the requirements for renting our different types of cars:

Economy category (e.g., Renault Twingo, Renault Clio): from 18 years old with 0 years of driving licence
Compact and SUV category (e.g., Renault Captur, Dacia Duster): from 23 years old with 1 year of driving licence
Higher, Prestige, minivan and Commercial van categories: from 23 years old with 3 years of driving licence
