The Transatlantic Jacques Vabre becomes the Transat Café L'Or Le Havre Normandie
The most legendary double-handed transatlantic race changed its name in 2024: the Transat Jacques Vabre became the TRANSAT CAFÉ L’OR Le Havre Normandie. On October 26, 2025, the greatest skippers will set sail from Le Havre to Martinique, at the end of an exceptional crossing whose arrival will be celebrated in the bay of Fort-de-France. October 26, 2025: Official start in Le Havre.
November 5, 2025 (approximately): Arrival of the first winning duos in Martinique.
November 20, 2025: Closing of the finish line in Fort-de-France.

The 2025 route of the Transat Café L'OR
La 17ᵉ édition de la TRANSAT CAFÉ L’OR s’élancera le 26 octobre 2025 du Havre, en Normandie, pour une traversée mythique de l’Atlantique jusqu’à la Martinique, avec une arrivée célébrée dans la baie de Fort-de-France.
Four separate courses are planned, adapted to each class of boat:
Ultim – 6,200 nautical miles: Departure from Le Havre → passage through the Ascension waypoint in the South Atlantic → arrival in Fort-de-France.
Ocean Fifty – 4,600 nautical miles: Departure from Le Havre → rounding the Canary Islands → passing through the island of Sal (Cape Verde) → arrival in Martinique.
IMOCA – 4,350 nautical miles: Similar route to Ocean Fifty, with a strategic route through the Canary Islands and Cape Verde, before heading down to the West Indies.
Class40 – 3,750 nautical miles: Departure from Le Havre → passage through the Azores archipelago → descent to Martinique.
This unique route illustrates the richness and diversity of transatlantic routes, while connecting two iconic territories: Normandy and Martinique. A sporting, strategic, and human adventure in the heart of the Atlantic.
